We are Juliette and Stephan – the VESUV team, a young startup from Berlin. At the end of 2024, we launched our ergonomic stool "ELAN" via our online shop – with the goal of offering the world's most dynamic chair and revolutionizing sitting through innovative motion technology.

STEPHAN LAUTZ

Stephan is an architect and body therapist—a unique combination that inspired him to develop the ELAN chair. His professional journey began in architecture, but his passion for movement and body awareness led him to train as a Rolfing® therapist. Since 2006, he has worked with patients to improve their posture and mobility, and expanded his knowledge as a naturopathic practitioner in 2014.
The idea for the ELAN chair arose from a very personal need: While working on movement analyses, Stephan realized how harmful prolonged sitting can be – for the back, posture, and well-being. What began as a search for a better seating solution developed over the years into a revolutionary innovation: a chair that combines balance, movement, and design.
At VESUV, Stephan is responsible for product development and operations. His goal? Creating high-quality, healthier products that bring movement and balance into everyday life.
JULIETTE MARQUÈS
Co-Founder & CMO
Juliette joined VESUV in March 2024, convinced that healthy working should be a priority. Her focus has always been on driving forward projects that have a real (social) impact: sustainable, innovative, and with added value for people's well-being.
When she first saw the ELAN stool concept, she was immediately convinced and inspired to develop a brand that represents passion, joy, and enthusiasm. For Juliette, the ELAN is "finally a real solution for ergonomic seating – without compromising on design and with revolutionary technology. No bulky, static office chairs that cause back pain and poor posture — instead, an elegant, functional seat that actively supports your health, creativity, and productivity."
At VESUV, Juliette is responsible for marketing and finance – always with the goal of inspiring as many people as possible to work in a healthier and more active & energized way.
